An underground gas line exploded, early May 4th,waking people up! The noise had people in the county calling each other to see if someone's home had blown up.
REPORTT May 7, in The Western Nebraska Observer , By Daniel Thompson
The line got put in in 1950 as an oil transfer and was changed to a gas line, as 20 inch line. The company, not named, did not have the oil and gas commission approval to change the line. That oil & gas commission knew nothing about the path of the line, across the county area. The Kimball Board of County Commissioners said the company assumed to be in charge of the gas line, had been denied approval for actions the company wanted to take.
To me it says, oil & gas companies have done as THEY wanted for years. Rules do not seem to be for them.
